LECTURE.—On Friday, the 13th inst., a very interesting lecture was delivered at the national school-room by the Rev. James Haldane Stewart, Rector of Millbrook, Southampton, subject ‟The History and Geography of the present War in America.” The lecture was remarkable for its clearness, and gave on excellent idea of the position of the antagonistic powers, and of the causes which in their gradual development have led to the war.
