LECTURE ON THE HISTORY OF THE BIBLE.—On Friday evening last, the Rev. James Duthie, of Petersfield, delivered a very interesting and instructive lecture on the above subject, at the Independent Chapel of this place, to a large and attentive audience. The lecture was illustrated with 14 excellent large paintings, which are the property of the Hants Home Mission, by whom the Rev. J. Duthie, has been selected to deliver lectures on this important and highly interesting subject to the neighbouring towns and villages of his district.
