The church at Liss, near Petersfield, has lately been much improved in appearance by the restoration of the spire and upper part of the tower; the former is covered with oak stringling, and the latter constructed of oak framing, with three carved oak quatrefoils on each side, filled with Louvre boards. The work has been well executed by Mr. Hollist, of Pullborough, under the direction of the architect, Mr. John Colson, of Winchester.
