BANKRUPTCY.—Last week the London Bankruptcy Court was an examination sitting and application for discharge under the bankruptcy of James Brackenbury Goude, described as formerly of Coombe Farm, Petersfield, late of Beacon Hill, Exton, Hants, farmer, and now of Winchester, out of business.—Mr. Leefe, solicitor, Lincoln’s-inn-fields, appeared for the creditor’s assignee, Mr. John Judd, of Westmeon, Hants, miller.—The bankrupt petitioned the court on 30th of September last, attributing his failure to ‟being obliged by my creditors to give up my farm in the early part of the year, instead of after harvest.” His preliminary statement shows total debts due to creditors chiefly residing at Alresford, Winchester, and Petersfield, about £1200. It appeard that the bankrupt had been uuable to file his statement accounts, in consequence of illness, and the court granted an adjournment until the 23rd of March next.
