PETERSFIELD.

ODD FELLOWS.—It is highly gratifying to notice the continued progress of the “Loyal Pride of the Valley Lodge of Odd Follows,” from their balance-sheet for one year, ending the 11th of December, 1866, which shows a saving to the sick and funeral fund of £97. Contributions from members, £189. Interest, £23. Initiation fees, £8. The expenditure shows that £45 had been paid for sick allowance, and £26 towards the district funeral fund. The lodge numbers 130 subscribing members, with 15 honorary members, and their funds invested in Government securities amounts to £1,008. The average age of members is 30 years, and the average days of illness to each member is four days. We understand that the Grand Master of the order (W. Curtis, of Brighton) will give a lecture upon the objects and principle of Oddfellowship early in March, which we have no doubt will be hailed with great satisfaction by every member of the brotherhood, as well all others unconnected with the society who have a knowledge of the great benefits and comfort accruing from this noble institution.
