PETERSFIELD.—Mr. H. Lacey, manager of the London and County Joint-Stock Bank in this town, has been deputed by the London Committee to receive subscriptions for raising a monument to the memory of Sir Robert Peel. This appeal has been already liberally responded to by gentlemen of all parties, many being anxious to have an opportunity of giving their mite to the object in view,—Hants Independent.
