ARUNDEL.—At the Town Hall, on Monday last, a young woman, named Mary Ann Smith, who said she came from Petersfield, was charged with being drunk. It appeared that she was found in a stable attached to the White Hart public-house, almost in a state of nudity, and four or five navvies were with her. The landlord, however, would not prosecute on a charge of sleeping in his stable, and therefore the woman, who was very drunk, was charged with the last-named offence. The magistrates inflicted a fine of 5s., which the woman immediately paid.
