ROGATE.
THE NORTHERN DISTRESS.—As yet no general collection has been made in our parish in aid of the Lancashire and Cheshire distress, although we believe there has been two or three partial collections. One has been made by Master James Martin, and a nice little sum collected and sent by the master of the British School at Petersfield, with other sums. We are glad, however, to notice that our esteemed vicar, the Rev. W. H. Green, announced his intention of making a subscription on Sunday next, after morning and afternoon services. We have no doubt but the inhabitants will be as charitable as their circumstances will allow in favour of so laudable an object.
