The monthly meeting of the Central Board of the Hampshire Friendly Society was held on Wednesday last (Rev. W. Williams, chairman), when 11 new members were admitted, and eight old ones increased their assurances. In consequence of an inquiry respecting the application of one of the rules, it was decided that Rifle Volunteers, and other similar corps, are eligible to become members of the society. New agents were appointed for the districts of Herriard and Petersfield, and other business transacted, after which the meeting was adjourned to the 21st of March next.
