     IRISH CHURCH MISSIONS —On Monday evening last a meeting on behalf of this Society was held in the National School room, when the Rev. J. M. Sumner presided. The Rev. C. H. Eade, one of the Secretaries of the Society and Missionary in Ireland, delivered an eloqnent address, giving many very interesting and encouraging details regarding the Society’s operations, exposing the errors in the doctrines and practice of the Romish Church, and sketching in a most graphic and telling manner the various phases of the Irish character. He also gave a most interesting account of the late visit of Cardinal Wiseman, of which he was an eye witness. The Revds. J. M. Sumner, T. Floud, and M. A. Smelt also addressed the meeting. A collection was made in aid of the funds of the Society.
