MERRY CHRISTMAS—TRADESMEN'S SHOPS.—The display of the good things of this life to welcome the coming of our old friend, "Father Christmas," has been well sustained by our butchers, in whose shops were exhibited choice beef, mutton, pork, poultry, &c., that have well carried out the highly established reputation of this favoured grazing district; and our purveyors of groceries, fruits, sweets, &c., &c., were well up to the mark of excellence, holding out the cheering prospect of varied enjoyment to gladden the heart at this happy and festive season.
