Preparations are now being actively made for the immediate construction of the station on the Petersfield line, the greater part of the permanent rails being now laid down, so that before next December, in all probability, we shall see trains running to and fro. On the Mid Sussex line we cannot report so favourably, although the works now are drawing very near their completion.
