MIDHURST
PETTY SESSIONS,
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9.

Present—C. SHIRLEY, Esq., Hon. J.J. CARNEGIE, T.A. DAVIS, T.F. PIGGOTT, and W. FISHER, Esqrs.

JOHN SALTER, of Iping, was summoned on the information of Inspector Bray, for riding in a waggon drawn by three horses, without leaving any one in care of the horses; but the Magistrates dismissed the charge, the information laying the offence on the Petersfield and Street Turnpike Road, whereas it was committed on the parish road, the lead horse only being on the turnpike road before Salter observed the Inspector and got down.
