A sailor, who was missed for a few days at the beginning of the week, has been discovered. It appears that, having received a quantity of prize money, he wisely thought he had better get out of the way of some persons who have on former occasions fleeced him; he, therefore, in company with another man and woman, started for Petersfield, and the latter returning by themselves, and possessing themselves of some clothes the sailor had left behind, caused suspicions to be excited, and they were accordingly apprehended, when the fact of the sailor's watch being found on the man gave the suspicions increased strength and probability. We, however, find that the sailor has come forward, and states that he gave the man and woman referred to authority to bring his property to him at Petersfield, and that they have been accordingly discharged.
