PETERSFIELD.

     MORE GAS LAMPS.—The monthly meeting of the inspectors was held at the Town Hall on Monday last, where, out of six, only two were present, viz., Messrs. Grain, and Hoar. Considerable dissatisfaction haying been experienced from the insufficiency of gas lights in some of the public thoroughfares in connection with the Railway Station. Consequentlv two complaints were preferred—one being from the Highway Board, and the other from the Railway Company, when it was resolved that an application should be made to the directors for the additional lamps required, and also for an increase of light In the lamps at present in use.
