Mr Lefevre, the Reform candidate for the borough of Petersfield, was very busy on Wednesday in canvassing the electors residing within the new boundary, who attended the market. This is the second canvass he has made for the borough since the Reform Bill passed, but he did not reach with anything like so many promises as in his first canvass, and it is generally thought that after all the trouble that gentleman and his supporters have taken, Mr Jolliffe, the old constitutional member will be again elected.
