AN IRISH PRESBYTERIAN MISSIONARY.
It is most gratifying to know that many of our missionaries take a high stand in the various localities to which they have been sent. It is only necessary to mention the names of Dr. Glasgow, Dr. Porter, and Dr. Craig in support of this statement. A letter in the September Herald gave pleasing instance of the estimation in which our missionaries are held by intelligent members of other Churches. We understand that Mr. Rickman, of Petersfield, Hants, an Episcopalian gentleman, and a Fellow of an English University, whose wife is the daughter of a well-known Archdeacon of the Church of England, found his way into the church of Dr. Graham at Bonn, and was so highly pleased with the pulpit ministration of that esteemed missionary, that he proposed to publish a volume of Dr. Graham’s lectures. We understand Dr. Graham has consented to their publication, and that Mr. Aitchison, of this town, will receive the names of subscribers. These lectures will form a commentary on the Epistle to the Ephesians, and are well worthy of the high esteem in which they are held by an educated Englishman,—Belfast Banner.
