PETERSFIELD

A musical entertainment took place at the Red Lion Assembly Room on Friday evening, at which a numerous and highly respectable auditory was present. The arrangements were under the superintendence of Mr. Finley, organist or Petersfield Church. An excellent programme was got up for the occasion, and the pieces were executed in very superior style. The delight of the company was evinced by repeated applause, and in the course of the evening by two encores. A grand fantasia (Stretch) by Dr. Boardman was much admired, as was also the singing of his daughter, Miss H. Boardman, and the rest of his choir.
