ROGATE
ODD FELLOWSHIP.—According to our last week's promise, we this week give the financial state of the ‟Loyal Pride of the Valley Lodge,” M.U., held at the Dolphin Hotel, Petersfield. The income during the past year has been £150 4s.d 2½d., of which £5 9s. 5½d. was from the preceding year's account, and £2 4s. 7d. on account of other judges. There has been during the year two funerals, for which the sum of £22 6s. 6d. has been paid, which sum has been repaid from the district fund. £40 has been invested in the Savings Bank, and the grand total of the lodge is as follows :—Invested: Consols, £221; Savings Bank, £194 10s. 4d.; in hand and stock, £26 4s. 5½d.—total £411 14s. 10½d. The number of members is 76, of which three are honorary. We do not think any other society or branch in the district is in a more flourishing state than this lodge; and we must not forget to add that Mr. Durman (the secretary) is deserving much praise for the plain and intelligible manner in which the books are kept.
