OPENING OF THE CORN EXCHANGE.—Our readers will see by reference to our advertising columns that the corn exchange is to be opened on Wednesday next, November 7th. A dinner will take place, at which the Right Hon. Lord Hylton will preside, and the following members of parliament and other gentlemen will be present: W. Nicholson, Esq., M.P., (Petersfield), Sir J. Clarke Jervoise, Bart., M.P. (South Hants), W. W. B. Beach, Esq., M.P. (North Hants), J. Bonham Carter, Esq., M.P. (Winchester). A large number of tickets have already been applied for, so that a good company may be expected. The services of the lay vicars of Winchester Cathedral have been secured for the occasion.
