PETERSFIELD.
OUR AMATEUR ETHIOPIAN MINSTRELS.—On Wednesday evening last a company of amateur darkies belonging to the town, gave their first entertainment at the National school rooms (thrown together) with decided success, to a respectable and crowded audience. The whole of the seats were filled, and many —particularly in the shilling portion of the sittings, were compelled to content themselves with standing room. It pleasing to notice that, from the conductor and manager, individually throughout the company, did their allotted parts well, in characteristic costumes, with credit to themselves, and with entire satisfaction (if we may judge from the continued applause given) to the whole assembled, who witnessed the performances:—
