PETERSFIELD.
PATRIOTIC FUND.—The Adjourned Meeting of the Subscribers to this fund was held the 24th ult. the Mayor in the chair, when it was announced that nearly 160l. had been already subscribed, and on its being intimated that other subscriptions would be forthcoming if the list were kept open longer, it was resolved that this be done, and that the meeting do stand further adjourned to Thursday, December 7th at twelve o’clock, at the Town Hall.
A PATRIOTIC EXAMPLE WORTHY OF IMITATION— The numerous farm laborers and others in the employ of S. Seward, Esq., of Weston, near this town; have raised a little ‟Patriotic Fund” among themselves, to be added to the local fund now in course of being raised in this neighbourhood.
