PEDESTRIANISM.—Henry Albery, who has carried the post bags between Petersfield, Rogate, Ferwick, and other parishes, since 1845, performs, on foot, a distance of 20 miles daily, which gives for the year of 365 days, 7,300 miles: and the actual distance performed by the said Henry Albery from 1845 to 1857, 12 years, is 87,600 miles, or nearly four times the distance round the earth. It is not a wonder that men are found to undertake these duties, but it is astonishing they are able to fulfil such an arduous task during a series of years.
