CATTLE, SHEEP AND HORSE FAIR.—Our Fair on Thursday, from the fineness of the weather, was numerously attended. About 800 beasts were upon the ground, 700 of which were Devon, and a good portion was sold at prices about the same as last year. Between 6,000 and 7,000 sheep were penned. Wethers sold 30s. to 42s., ewes from 26s. to 38s., lambs from 18s. to 30s. Messrs. Sadler and Palmer showed some good hunting horses which realized up to 50 guineas, and cart colts from 25 to 30 guineas. The pleasure fair was larger than ever remembered, from the fineness of the weather and the railway accommodation afforded. Booths for the creature comforts of life were plentiful.
