PETERSFIELD.]—COUNTY COURT.—At the Petersfield County Court, on Thursday, the business for adjudication by the Judge, C. J. Gale, Esq., was unusually prolonged, in consequence of a jury case, which occupied the Court upwards of three hours:

—   Young v. Bailey.—The plaintiff, Mr. Ed. Young, baker and grocer, of Petersfield, sued Mr. W. Bailey, grocer and innkeeper, &c., of the parish of Sheet, for £30, a balance on a running account, for bread supplied by the plaintiff.—The jury, after paying the greatest attention to the case, and looking over the accounts, gave a verdict for the plaintiff, with costs.—The plaintiff’s case was conducted by Mr. Field, solicitor, of Gosport, and that of the defendant by Mr. Edwin Albery of Midhurst.

—   Waller v. Mellersh.—This case was referred to an arbitrator, Mr. B. Knight, of the parish of Steep.

—   Barnard Oliver, keeper of a low beer-house in College-street, Petersfield, summoned Thomas Figg, a bricklayer’s labourer, for 5s., the week’s rent of one room, which was never taken possession of.—Dismissed.

—   Daniel Lee v. John Munday, flyman.—This was for work done by the plaintiff, but, in consequence of not being completed, as per agreement, the plaintiff was nonsuited.
