PETERSFIELD.

A County Court was appointed to be held here yesterday (Friday), before C. J. Gale, Esq.. Judge, but from 15th April till the present time not a single plaint had been entered. The only case that came before the court was that of the Rev. J. L. Barton, late of Portsea, who came up to receive his final order for protection by Mr. J. Stening, of Portsea. The insolvent was opposed by one creditor on whose behalf Mr. S. Long, jun., of Portsea, appeared. His Honour after hearing the grounds of Mr. Long’s opposition, stated that there was nothing whatever in it to justify him in refusing the insolvent his final order, who thereupon received the same.
