At Petersfield Heath Fair there was a good supply of Beasts both Welsh and Devon—300 of the former, and 500 of the latter—a great proportion of which changed hands at good prices, from 20s. to 30s. a head higher than last year. The number of Sheep penned were not so large as usual, being only 3700, and the trade was heavy, though what were sold fetched good prices. A large number of Horses were shewn, some of superior quality. Considerable business was also done in Hops at from 8l. to 8l. 10s. per cwt.
