PETTY SESSIONS, Tuesday.—Before Sir W. W. Knighton, Bart.
— James Robinson, of Golden Ball-street, Petersfield, was convicted on the evidence of P.C. William Rolph, of riding on a cart drawn by two horses, without reins, on the 17th ult., on the turnpike road from Petersfield to Horndean. Fined 2s. 6d, costs, 7s. 6d.
— J. Corney pleaded guilty to a charge of ill-treating a horse, at Liss, on Wednesday, the 14th ult., by driving it in a cart laden with stone, such horse having at the time a large sore beneath the collar. The case was proved by P.C. Charles Troke, and defendant was fined 2s. 6d with 7s. 6d. costs.
