     PETTY SESSIONS.—Present J. Waddington, Esq.

—   The only case disposed of was a charge of drunkenness against William Newton, of Steep, who pleaded guilty, and was adjudged to pay a fine of 5s, and costs 7s. 6d.

—   There were two summonses for letting off fireworks in the town on the evening of the 5th, but in the absence of a second Magistrate they were ordered to stand over until next Bench day.
