PETERSFIELD, January 29.

     PETTY SESSIONS.—Present: Hon. J. J. Carnegie and G. Forbes, Esq.

     Trespass.—On Tuesday, John Strong, of Catherington, appeared to a summons, charged with trespass in search of rabbits on certain land in the occupation of Mr. C. Clark, without the consent of the owner. The case was clearly proved by Mr. William Munday, and the prisoner having been convicted once before within twelve months, was fined £1, including costs.

     Caution to Farm Labourers.—Thomas Marchant, of the parish of Blendworth, was charged by James Goldsmith, yeoman, with leaving his service. This case stood over from the last bench day, to have the evidence of Mr. Goldsmith, jun. Defendant not appearing, a warrant of commitment was issued, to be imprisoned for fourteen days.
