WINTER STOCK FAIR FOR SHEEP.—On Monday our winter fair was held, which proved to be the smallest ever known. There were more buyers than stock produced, and a brisk trade followed, when the whole changed hands.

PETERSFIELD.

Our annual stock fair was held on Monday, with a shorter supply of sheep than ever known—under 2,000, and lesss than half the average than the preceding five years. Buyers were plentiful and trade brisk. Lambs realised 24s. to 38s., ewes 34s. to 42s., and wethers 35s. to 44s., and nearly or quite the whole number penned were sold.
