PETERSFIELD UNION.
TO MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS.

     THE Board of Guardians of this Union, will at their Meeting to be held at the Board Room, in the Union Workhouse, on Thursday, the 7th day of February, 1856, commencing at Twelve o’Clock at Noon, ELECT and APPOINT a Legally Qualified MEDICAL PRACTITIONER, to be the Medical Officer of District, No. 3, of the above Union.

     The District comprises the Parishes of Sheet, Liss, Greatham, Hawkley, Empshott, and Priorsdean, contains a population of about 2,038, and an average of about 10,965. 

     The Salary for the District, will be 47l.  10s. per Annum, besides the Fees allowed for Surgical Midwifery and Successful Vaccination Cases.

     The person appointed must reside in or near the centre of the District.

     The Duties to commence from the 25th of March next.

     The appointment will (subject to the approval of the Poor Law Board) be permanent.

     Written Applications accompanied with Testimonials and Qualifications, to be Sealed, addressed ‟To the Chairman of the Petersfield Union,” and forwarded under Cover to the Clerk, previous to the day of Meeting.

     The person Elected will have due notice thereof, and requested to attend at a previous Meeting of the Guardians.
