PETERSFIELD.]—A MATCH OF CRICKET—was played on Petersfield Heath on Thursday, the 8th inst., between the Hambledon and Petersfield Clubs. The first innings ended by both elevens scoring equal numbers—44. The Hambledon Gentlemen in their second innings scored 41. Their opponents at the close of play had obtained that number with seven wickets to go down. This is the first mach played by the Petersfield gentlemen this season.

CRICKET CLUB.—Our young but rapidly rising Cricket Club opened the campaign of the present season by a match with their friendly competitors of the Hambledon Club, on Thursday last. The Match was played on the new ground on the Heath. The first innings were a tie 44 each, and in the second innings Hambledon went out for 41. Petersfield then went to the wickets and fetched 24 when the stumps were drawn, leaving Petersfield 18 runs to get with nine wickets to go down. We subjoin the score:
