PETTY SESSIONS.

TUESDAY    

     The court opened at ten o’clock this morning, the Earl of Carnarvon presiding. The usual proclamation against vice and immorality having been read, the noble Earl delivered his charge to the Grand Jury. For the dispatch of business a second Court was opened, in which Mr. Portal presided, and the prisoners, 65 in number, were disposed of as follows:—

…   Nine Months’ Imprisonment.—William Langford, for stealing goods from the shop of Christopher Grassweller, at Petersfield.

…   Six Months’ imprisonment.— …Henry Hall, for receiving goods, knowing them to have been stolen by his son, at Petersfield; …George Waller, for stealing candles, at Petersfield, the property of Christopher Crasweller. 

Three Weeks’ Imprisonment.— …William Hall, for stealing a pair of boots, at Petersfield.
