PETERSFIELD, Saturday, April 18.
A HOUSE BURNT DOWN.—On Monday afternoon about 4 o'clock, the house of Mr. William White, beerhouse keeper, grocer, blacksmith, and wheelwright, at Priorsdean, near this town, was burnt down. It appears the fire was caused by a boy carrying some live coals from the dwellinghouse to the blacksmith's shop, detached, a short distance from the same, when the wind carried some sparks to the thatch, which ignited, and the house and its contents, with some money, was destroyed, with the exception of a little furniture. Unfortunately the property was not insured.
