PETERSFIELD, HANTS.
THE Inspectors for Lighting the town of Petersfield, in the county of Southampton, by virtue of an Act of Parliamcnt, passed in 3rd and 4th Wm. IV., c. 90 of his late Majesty King William the Fourth,
Do hereby give notice, they are desirous of' RECEIVING PROPOSALS from any person or persons willing to undertake the LIGHTING the streets, roads, and other places in Cow's Leg-lane, in the said town, and to furnish lamps, lamp irons, lamp posts, and other things necessary for that purpose, and that it is the intention of such inspectors to enter into a contract with the person or persons whose proposal for the purpose shall be adopted.
Tenders to be sent to H Calvert, Square, Petersfield, stating the charge per lamp from 1st September next, to the 30th April, 1867, inclusive, the lighting of all such lamps to be completed three-quarters of an hour after sunset, and none to be extinguished before eleven o’clock.
Seven nights in each lunation excepted.
To be forwarded to the Secretary on or before 1st August, 1866.
