PETERSFIELD, HANTS.
THE Inspectors appointed for Lighting the town of Petersfield, in the county of Southampton, by virtue of an Act of Parliament, passed in the third and fourth years of the reign of his late Majesty King William the Fourth, cap. 90, do hereby give Notice, that they are desirous of receiving PROPOSALS from any Person or Persons willing to undertake the LIGHTING the STREETS, ROADS, and other Places of, or in, the said town, and to furnish lamps, lamp-irons, lamp-posts, and other things necessary for that purpose; and that it is the intention of such Inspectors to enter into a Contract with the Person or Persons whose Proposals for the purpose shall be accepted.
Tenders to be sent to the Secretary, H. Calvert, Square, Petersfield, stating the charge per lamp from 1st September to the 30th April inclusive, such lamps to be lighted half an hour after sunset and extinguished at 11 o’clock p.m., seven nights in each lunation excepted.
To be forwarded to the Secretary, on or before the 29th day of August.
The Inspectors will not be bound to accept the lowest, or an only Tender.
