PETERSFIELD.]—MARKET.—At the Petersfield Market, on Wednesday last, there was a considerable number of persons in attendance, in consequence of the increased facilities afforded by the railway authorities, and to meet the demand for the conveyance of stock from the market to Havant, Portsmouth, &c., &c., a special train was despatched at 2.30, p.m., with a considerable number of carriages, heavily laden with all kinds of cattle. The Directors of this new line of railway will do well by a general revision of their charges for the conveyance of passengers; also by letting passengers have the advantage of travelling third-class, to and from Petersfield, by the 3.40 p.m. down train from London; also the 3.10 train from Portsmouth, daily.
