PETERSFIELD.]—RATING OF THE PETERSFIELD PARISH.—For some time past a considerable deal of unpleasantness and bad feeling has existed in consequence of the officials altering the poor-rate of several individual ratepayers in the town. At a vestry meeting held on the 16th inst., a resolution was come to to appoint five respectable inhabitants to revise the rate. It is to be hoped that the plan adopted will be the means of allaying the angry feeling which has so long existed, and also of preventing a new valuation of the town, the expense of which will be very considerable.
