PETERSFIELD.
RIFLE CORPS.—The Secretary of this Corps received information from the Lord-Lieutenant, on Friday, the 6th inst., stating that Her Majesty had accepted the services of the corps, to be called ‟The 12th Hampshire Volunteers,” the members of which are to meet this day (Saturday), at the Town Hall, to be sworn in. We hear with pleasure in addition to the Horndean members joining, that a goodly number will, through the example of Mr. C. W. Rickman, of Empshott, present themselves to swell the numbers in this patriotic movement.
