PETERSFIELD.

     ELECTION OF MAYOR.—The annual court leet for the borough was held on Monday last by William Williams, Esq., Recorder, at the Town-hall, when S. W. Seward, Esq., of Weston, was chosen Mayor, and the other officials for the borough appointed for the ensuing year. At two o’clock the jury and others, to the number of thirty, assembled by invitation to lunch with the Mayor at the Red Lion Hotel, after which a very happy and agreeable afternoon and evening were spent.
