SERIOUS ACCIDENT FROM A CHAFF CUTTING MACHINE.—As Mr. Thomas Amey, of Steep Marsh farm, was in the act of putting his chaff cutting machine in order in Thursday last, after the knives had been fresh ground, when, by some means, one of the knives came in contact with his arm, the leaders of which, with one of the arteries, were separated. Mr. Gray and Dr. Leachman were quickly in attendance, under whose care he is favourably progressing, but unfortunately with the sad probability of the loss of his hand.
