ROGATE.

SERIOUS ACCIDENT.—On Wednesday, the 26th inst., William Souter, a laboring man, about 50 years of age, in the employ of Mr. Thomas Lintot, of Wakeham Farm, had been to Petersfield with a waggon, and returning, stopped at Mr. Chapman’s, White Horse Inn, Rogate, and took up a load of manure. It appears he had some drink there, and having had some before, which not being used to, made him a little tipsy. Stopping at Fyning on the way home, he stepped on the thills of the waggon and stood there till he had reached Terwick, where the poor fellow fell off, and was run over, breaking three ribs and dislocating one shoulder. We are sorry to say at the present time he is in a very precarious state.
