PETERSFIELD.]—SHOCKING MACHINE ACCIDENT: An inquest was held on Friday, at the Portsmouth Hospital, upon the body of George Ansell, a labourer, of Petersfield. The machine caught his foot and dragged his leg into the machine, and crushed his leg and thigh in a fearful manner. He was conveyed as soon as possible to the Hospital, where every attention was paid to him, but he died on Thursday from the injuries he received. Verdict, ‟Accidental Death.”
