SINGULAR WEDDING.—On Monday last, the marriage ceremony was performed in our parish church by the Rev. Henry Haigh, M.A.; and we may add that upon no similar occasion has there ever been created so much amusing interest and curiosity as was then evinced, upon tying the nuptial knot. On the preceding day, (Sunday) ‟the last time of asking” having been published between William Harris, aged 74 years, a bachelor, chair-bottom and clothes-peg maker, and Jemima Sinfield, alias Betty ‟Long Stockings,” spinster, aged 54, a cripple and corn-doctress, and what is better, at the present time, a recipient of a good legacy, and both belonging to the tramping fraternity. We wish joy to the juveniles!
