PETERSFIELD.]—TEA MEETING.—On Monday last a social tea meeting took place in the Petersfield British Schools, when nearly 120 persons of both sexes connected with the Independent Chapel, were in attendance. The chair was taken by the Rev. H. Kiddle, supported by a gentleman from Highbury college, named Leaver, who is a candidate for the vacancy at the Petersfield Chapel, and who is highly approved of by a large majority of the congregation worshipping at the chapel. A public meeting was subsequently held, when suitable addresses were given during the evening.
