IN RE. BRAKE, OF PETERSFIELD.
The bankrupt, Solomon Brake, was a corn and cattle dealer, late of Botley, and now of Petersfield, in this county. The adjudication took place on his own petition on the 10th of January. He ascribes his failure to losses by bad debts, money lent, and corn and cattle purchased, and resold at less than cost. The debts are 678l., of which it 564l. is due to the Hampshire Banking Company, Southampton, they holding as security 400l. Canada bonds, valued at 356l.
This was the sitting for examination and discharge. An adjournment was ordered for further accounts.
