PETERSFIELD RAILWAY. 

     NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING of the Shareholders of the Petersfield Railway Company will be held at the Waterloo Station of the London and South Western Railway Company, on THURSDAY, the 23rd instant, at Three o’clock in the afternoon, when there will be submitted for the consideration, and, if thought fit, for the approval, of the proprietors then present, in person or by proxy, a BILL now pending in Parliament, intituled,

     ‟An Act for authorising the amalgamation of the undertakings of divers Railway Companies with the undertaking of the London and South Western Railway Company, and divers arrangements between that Company and other Companies and bodies: and for other purposes.” 

     The books of the Company for the registration of the transfer of stock and shares will be closed from the 13th instant till after the holding of the meeting.—By order,
