A stupid and unwarrantable act was committed a few evenings back by some brainless character, who placed in the receiving letter box of the post office several pieces of broken steel hooping. It is well for the offending party that the disgraceful act was not detected, or the severe punishment which would have followed, in addition to the consequent exposure, must have rendered his feelings anything but enviable in the eyes of the public.
