HARTING.

SCHOOL TREAT.—The Sunday school children of the Dissenting church of this place had their annual treat of cake and tea on Thursday last, on Mill Meadow, which was very kindly lent for this interesting occasion by Mr. Moore. The children having first feasted themselves with abundance of cake, &c., the friends sat down to tea in Mr. F. Pledger’s spacious booth. After tea, games of every description were provided for the little ones, in which the seniors most heartily joined. The day was beautifully fine, and the joyous, hearty laugh which resounded on every side was an evident proof that all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Much praise is due to Miss Booker and Miss Wild for their very excellent tea, and their admirable arrangements for the children’s amusement.
